Clueless on This Corydora

Post by Jeffreyaki »

Hello Friends,

I bought this Corydoras about a year ago thinking it was a "Punctuatus," at that time, since I have been on Planet Catfish, I am doubting the label.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to PlanetCatfish!

Do you have a photo of your cory? Unfortunately, "punctatus" might be the cory name applied to more species than any other. You can find , , , , and many others sold as (because punctatus is just a name that means spotted). Without a photo, there is no way to know what you had. Sorry.

Cheers, Eric

. I've got seven or eight of these. They're huge corys (not as big as robustus, but big none the less) - built like tanks! I think they're great. If yours is male, wait till his dorsal fin extensions start to grow. Really something to see!

Cheers, Eric
