Again, I'd like to emphasize that the female is actually forcing it's way into the males cave at the beginning. There is evidently no "trapping" going on. The female comes and goes as she pleases. This feels like harmony and is definitely a mutual act with no kind of aggression coming from the males side after all.

Can you please tell us how you are taking care of your L397? Tank setup, water conditions, feeding, tankmates, etc.?
