Does anyone make a food for aufwuchs feeders at home? I know Repashy makes an aufwuchs food and I've already ordered it, but just wondering if there's a homemade version.
I recently acquired an L200 hi-fin who's an aufwuchs feeder, he's more interested in nibbling slime off of the glass than the abundant algae in my tank. He does also eat algae wafers but shows little or no interest in fruit or vegetables. So far I've tried blanched broccoli, zucchini, snap pea pod and peas, and a frozen/thawed mango slice. He's lost the hollow belly he had when he first arrived, so at least I know he's well fed.

Re: Foods for weird and wonderful (and I'm just strange) plecos!
There are a few brands of gel food out there besides Repashy, but Repashy is by far considered the industry leader. I've seen other people make special foods for their fish, although myself I've never tried. I rely primarily on veggies, human grade shrimp, live worms and Repashy, with prepared pellets/flakes to fill in any nutritional narrowness.
