Synodontis angelicus?

Post by muridae »

Picked up this guy at the LFS last night, and am trying to get an ID. I am thinking Synodontis angelicus? The fish is about 4 inches long, give or take half an inch.

I tried to get a picture of the mouth, but the fish, of course, wouldn't cooperate.

Also, you can see in the second picture that the very tip of the right pectoral fin is slightly damaged. The fish poked both its fins through the plastic bag and I bent the tip trying to get it unstuck. It should be okay, right? I feel so bad about doing that.

Yup, that's S. angelicus alright. Don't worry about the damage to the spine. It'll heal.

Oh, good! I'm glad to hear it'll repair itself.

Also, yay, I id'ed a fish correctly!

Thanks, Silurus.
