not a blue phantom
I bought this supposed blue phantom pleco from a fish store in toronto and it was blue with white spots when younger. it has since morphed into a greenish shade and developed bristlenose now. i know there is some question as to whether the green and blue phantoms are the same species but never read anything about bristlenoses. so i am not sure really what i have now?!? he is 3" now and doing well. but i am curious as to whether he is a blue phantom the bristles will disappear or what? many thanks.

Re: not a blue phantom
Hi,
You have a common bristlenose, . I hope you didn't pay more than $10 for it. Phantoms of any color (green, blue or black) are much more expensive, often selling for $35-$75 USD in my area.
Regards, Eric
