CW111, CW146? CW04?
Just a few questions on the CW111, CW146 and CW04 corydoras!
1) Where can you get these cories?
2) How sensitive are they in shipping?
3) What are the water parameters?
4) Is there much known about any of these cories I have not seen any information on this site about them and yet there are many keepers of these fish I am sure due to the high demand?

Re: CW111, CW146? CW04?
Hi @Coolcorycats,
You are right, CW004 and CW111 are very much a buzz and in demand. They are unusual and striking corys, but they are illegal to export, so they are not readily available... and thus the demand. I suspect CW146 gets some of its demand because it gets identified erroneously as cw111, so people want to too (not that it otherwise doesn't look good, but the confusion with CW111 certainly boosts interest in CW146).
I would not characterize them has having "many keepers." They are illegal to export, so few people have them except illegally smuggled fish or fish bred from illegally smuggle fish. If you can buy them (esp. CW111), you're looking at hundreds of dollars per fish if not a thousand dollars per fish. That's most likely why there is very little information on them.
Another contributing factor for CW111 and CW146 is that they are high up in the CW number series, meaning that they're relatively recent discoveries. Novelty also helps with demand.
Sorry to disappoint.
Cheers, Eric

Thank you for the information. I also see your want list has most of the cories I have a my office, except CW111. Too bad you weren’t closer as I lend them to you to breed.

Re: CW111, CW146? CW04?
Thanks for the offer. If I were closer, yes it would be fun to trade fish temporarily to see if we can spawn them between us. I've got lots of corys and plecos that aren't yet spawning but might if I let them sit in someone else's tanks.Coolcorycats wrote: ↑21 Aug 2018, 20:22Thank you for the information. Truth be told, I am able to get some of the fish on my want list. It's more a matter of passing on them when available because I don't have tank space. But maybe one day I'll have a fish room just begging to be filled with all these species.
Cheers, Eric

Very nice and very robust looking corydora. I will try and breed them and keep notes as well as water parameters!

Re: CW111, CW146? CW04?
Wow. If you really got CW111, expect to see really high dorsal fin extensions on your males. These should develop and stay, not come and go with the seasons. If you don't get that, the fish aren't CW111.

Yes I have seen some males with longer fins already developing especially when there are 40 in the group so you can see the differences developing.

Re: CW111, CW146? CW04?
Yes sir and CW146 as well so it’s a very very expensive tank right now so I’ve got Seneye hooked up, all live food and 25% water changes every second day. These guys are loving life at 76-78F - anything higher and they are sluggish/lethargic.
