Cat-eLog updated.

Congratulations, Rupert. It's always nice to see L numbers resolved/named, and even nice to have the authors present here on PlanetCatfish. Keep up the good work.

Cheers, Eric

@racoll, in your paper you write,
The species is currently known from three clearwater rivers of the Brazilian and Guiana shields in Amazonas State, Brazil (Fig. 3): rio Uatuma, rio Nhamunda and rio Guariba (rio Madeira-Aripuana drainage). The new species has been reported in the aquarium trade literature under the tag names Pseudolithoxus sp. ‘L385’ and Pseudolithoxus sp. ‘L492’, fishes purportedly from the rio Trombetas and the rio Jauaperi, respectively (Dignall, 2018; Seidel & Evers, 2005).
That said, you make no mention of finding the fish in the rio Trombetas and the rio Jauaperi. Are you suggesting these locations are not accurate, or that you didn't confirm their accuracy, or that you are adding them to the list of localities without confirmation?

Thanks, Eric

In the scientific sense "known" is to have specimens with locality data deposited in a museum.

The L number reports from the Trombetas and Jauaperi appear legitimate though, so there's no reason not to add the localities to the CLOG.

Thanks Rupert. I thought that would be the case. I just finished filling in the clog page and submitted the changes for approval.

Again, great work.

Cheers, Eric

Hi MichaelItelf,

Do you mean a photo of Pseudolithoxus? There is no photo attached to your post.

Regards,
Eric
