Help with IDing this pleco

Post by gehandylan »

A friend in Europe is seeking assistance with IDing the Pleco in pics attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They look small and young. I would be afraid to guess. But I imagine that eye size and position/orientation are helpful factors, besides colors.

Hopefully someone else with more experience can give an authoritative answer.

Good luck,
Eric

Thanks Eric. I was leaning towards L450, but I could be horribly wrong :)

Gehan,

They look a lot like really small L450's to me as well.

@Dave Rinaldo

For some reason I thought that Cara Wade lived in the UK. When she was looking to get a positive ID of the fish in question on a FB Pleco forum, I offered to post them on planetcatfish.com. It has now come full circle. What a small world :)
