Help sexing L091

Post by yayfish24 »

Can I get some input on the genders of my two largest L091? I can get a few more pics if needed. I know the head shape is important.

You might want to add their sizes and some information on how long you have been keeping them to give us a better insight on their condition.

From what I can see I would guess two males. But I am really no expert on Leporacanthicus anyway.

I had them for 6-7 years. They are about 8" total length

Hi

Agree on 2 males, the head and general bodyshape dont fit females which should be wider at that age, assuming they are well fed. You can try to compare the base colours in your group, females tend to look more dull in saturation.
