Is Aragonite, Seachem Flourite black, and Flourite black-sand ok for corys? Or is one or all to sharp for them?
Thanks

I've not used any of the above, but have had great success with Corydoras in Limpopo black sand.

Hi all
Is it easy for you to get swimming pool filter sand? If you can get a finer grade that is ideal for Corydoras. I keep planted tanks and I just add a small amount of clay and leaf mould to the lower layer of sand.
cheers Darrel
Aragonite is calcium carbonate based, so will raise pH and hardness.

Yeah, I have heaps of pool filter sand, just trying to save the hassle of having to redo the whole tank again. I would have to buy aqua soil again (the sand and soil has become all mixed up) as I do see huge differences in plant growth in using it.dw1305 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2017, 10:59 Hi allAragonite is calcium carbonate based, so will raise pH and hardness.

Have you looked at any of these products under a microscope? That could give you more information.
