Hypostomus (Cochliodon) sp. from Peru
In 2012 I collected this fishes in a smale stream going from the Papaya Samiria national park an into Rio Ucayali. The closest villige was named San Martin and its not so fare from Tamarco.
It would be funn to see if there was possible to get any ID on them. I know that Hypostomus/Cochliodon is a difficult group of fishes to ID. But anyway lets try!
My guesses is either L-227 or Hypostomus/Cochliodon hemicochliodon.
I am not even sure if all this are the same species? Anyone that wants to help? E

Thanks Daniel.
Interesting that you say that 1 and 5 is the same. I would say that 1 and 3 was the same, based on the picture.
Thanks for also confirming that we may talk about the specie C. hemicochliodon.

It might be the pictures, but 1 looks flatter than 3, which has a higher head and a bigger eye in relation to the head. The caudal peduncle pattern doesnt match either.
cheers to Norway!

I think 1 and 5 seem to have much flatter heads than 2,3 and 4.
