New tank with 6 unidentified catfish from 8inch to 18inch
Expanding my fish collection bought several tanks over the past few month or so from just 40ltr breeder tanks to a 550ltr tank all just bare no fish but I've just got myself a really large tank this time with some really nice fish only problem is apart from the common plecos and tiger shovelnose I don't really know what the others are exactly, could anyone help me I.D. them correctly I can make sure,
Firstly the tank they're in is large enough and secondly they will all be ok together as I've other tanks I can move them around if necessary.

First synodontis looks like a hybrid to me but the picture is not ID friendly. Second synodontis you call gold spot is definitely a hybrid, the most common one in the hobby.
TSN is Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum. They pretty much all are.

Hi thanks the pics are not mine but from the person I got the tank off tbh when I bought the tank I didn't realise the fish were part of the deal as the price was good and the advert listed the tank and items separate to the fish so was surprised to find my offer was excepted for fish included. It said 2 x synodontis 1x gold spot 2 x common pleco l x tiger shovelnose .So im trying to find the varieties due to compatibly, sizing ect . Will try and add better pics if I can.

The one marked as a gold spot is a spotted raphael.

Right. Sorry, I looked down from the label. Should have looked up to see the raph. The fish in the next photo would be the syno I had spoken of.

Cheers folks as it happens I only picked the tank this morning to find there was another catfish in once I can get a clear pic I will. Also as for the raph there are 6 not 1 as advertised (2 spotted and 4 striped), 3 large common pleco, 2 medium common pleco, 1 TSN , 2 synodontis, 3 x gold spotted pleco L022 1x unknown so 18 in total as I personally don't believe the tank was big enough( 6ft 500ltr) I've already split them into 3 tanks of similar size .

The new unknown looks like a Schilbe spp., perhaps or ?
