does driftwood change the colour of your tank??

Is there any way in which driftwood can change the colour of the water in the tank???

It will release Tannins into your water for a few months, but boiling it first helps a little...Mine hasn't made a noticeable difference, but my mom's tank is a little tea colored. Hope this helps. :D
