deworming Camallanus with levamisole

is this a viable method for worming Camallanus cotti?
I was thinking on using harka verm a pigion wormer with levamisole in it.
Dosing 3mg/L leave it in for 3 days with a gravel vaccum each day. then repeat it after 2 weeks.

I found a sturisoma in my 46 breeding group that had Camallanus so i put it off right away. none of the 46 have it or have signs of it. they eat and breed like usual. But after seeing and hearing what this worm can do im just going to deworm all of my tanks for it to be on the safe side.
I did deworm the 46 tank right away with esha gdx that has levamisole. but that would be expensive to do for all of my tanks.

Bad luck, they are a parasite I hope never to see again.

I've been successful using "Harka Verm" as the levamisole HCL source. I used the recommendations at Loaches-Online (http://www.loaches.com/Members/shari2/l ... chloride-1).

yes ive read that aswell, did it work out well for you?
Hoping it will be good for my fish cuz it doesnt seem like im dealing with a full outbreak were there is worms everywere.

@crazytask - I know you are not in the states, but I have had Levamizole HCL in my med kit for a number of years now. I get it from a good source who has some good information on it and specifically on Camallanus cotti. I never had to use it for camallanus but in general it is a great dewormer that picks up what praziquantel and metronidazole can't. Same as flubendazole but they say safer.

@twotankamin I did acually find that link somewere some days ago so ive read it, and i did send Dr. Charles Harrison an email so i hope he replays soon

@viktor I also send them a massage and asked if they shipped to sweden. I was thinking it might be a good idea to put fenabendazole in the food for all fish mabe once every 2 mounths, as a saftey precaution.
