Should I get l178?

Post by yayfish24 »

There's a bunch of these at my LFS. I'm really tempted to get a few. I've never seen any lasiancistrus in my area. Can anyone give me some more details about the species?

How should their tank be setup? I'll probably quarantine them for a few weeks in my 20 gallon then move them to a 65. What temperature do they prefer? There wasn't much on the cat-elog for them.

Warm water, well oxygenated, use rounded stones and don't bother with plants. It's fairly omnivorous but should be offered a fair bit of veg in its diet. A group is nice, they're not too territorial, but make sure they all have lots of hiding places in rocks.
