schooling catfish

I am looking for catfish that free swim and school, much like debawii (sp?) cats. Any suggestions are welcome, fish must be compatible with small tetras like cardinals.

Some sort of search parameters to find these catfish would be helpful.

Debawi (p. Buffei and p. Debawi) are the best ones. P. Buffei are sold as debawi cats here. I had a shoal of 8 once, got em for a nice deal too.
I'm sure there are many other options but I fail to look beyond debawi's.
Glass cats are also an option. Any kind of water parameters you can give? Would probably be helpful.

Schilbe catfish come to my mind but I don't know if there are smaller species.

The glass catfishes are schooling fish. The most common one here in Belgium is Kryptopterus vitreolus

My 25 Paruetropius mandevillei school quite tightly during daylight hours, roughly smaller than the size of a rugby ball. But come the evening, they scatter, mostly as individuals zooming all over their tank!

They are the smallest of the Debauwi catfishes, ~5cm SL as adults.

Thanks to everyone for the great ideas! This will be a several hundred gallon tank. Actual gallon size is still up in the air. I am rather fond of this fish as well.

non aggressive free swimming catfish will be a major part of the inhabitants of this tank along with other schooling fish. Bottom dwellers will be abundant but free swimming schooling fish will be the main attraction and I'd like as many of those to be catfish!
