I see. But how are the big ones in singapore's river safari able to maintain their blue-ish coloration. I have one that also came in as MGC but could very well be a ir-shark (is now around 28") and is still blue. This one is around 3 feet. And when it was still small, it was this color already.

I was in the River Safari recently (IUCN workshop), and the P. hypophthalmus in there didn't look blue to me. I'd say they were gray, if darker than your fish.
