Synodontis melanostictus?

Found a video of what appears to be a rare syno in the aquarium trade posted recently. Is this melanostictus?

I see grandiops, granulosus,angelicus, possibly decorus, some hybrids, the fish in question could be

Synodontis melanostictus

I think...all in a Tanganyikan scenario...the fish is definately not thamalakanensis or nigromaculatus.

Wow, what a beautiful beast. S. melanostictus looks closest. Interesting to see angelicus bullied for a change. One of the smaller synos under the log looks like a ornatipinnis or decorus and/or ornatipinnis hybrid. What a menagerie, but makes for great 'fishporn' at any rate.

The fish under the log is indeed a hybrid.

This fish does look very close to Melanostictus. Interestingly it is top dog over the granulosus which I didn't expect.

Disappointingly it is such a poor mix of species with far too many bottom feeders
