They are certainly banjo catfish - they might appreciate a sandy substrate more as they like to burrow & that gravel wont allow them to do what comes naturally. Failing that they often hide in leaf litter so you could add dead oak or beech leaves - in your part of the world you'd have to check if those trees are the same as here in the UK

While I believe that's the easiest time I've had grabbing a fish, they did not enjoy being upside down.
