You are correct toaddback salt and such to make up for the replaced water. You might consider doing only one water change a day and then scaling it back after that. Some of the medications are added every day to gradually increase the strength in the tank instead of shocking them all at once. Heavy water changes defeat this and can throw the tank out of balance by being too clean.
Doing less at the right time takes a while to figure out.

Thanks again, the L397 is still going. I'm quite surprised about this.
Thanks Teresa

The L397 unfortunately didnt make it, obviously I'm extremely upset at how events have unfolded here, i went to do a water change a while ago, and just a couple of hours ago it was moving around. It had somehow developed what appeared to be pop eye disease.
Thanks Teresa

Done my best with it, all i could do, but its still a difficult thing. It wasn't clear exactly what the exact root of the problem was, or i would have addressed it. I now have 8 of these, and they are all happy and healthy and I'll do whatever it takes to keep it this way. I'm now trying to establish if there may be any pathogens in the main tank i may need to address, although as mentioned I've taken even more preventative measures to keep them all healthy by adding extra filtration, waterchanges and buying them lots of screwcumbers.
Thanks Teresa
