Which Christmas gift cats did you get, (or anything thing else related)?
Just wondering what Christmas gifts (cat) fish related anyone has received? My gift was 2 L397s bought a couple of weeks ago, they are both doing well. I also received 2 aqualog books on plecos and various other fish related items.

My lady is so far out of the loop with fish she would have no clue. But at least she will give me the money to but. Congratulations on your gifts.

Well for me no cat fish but books on fish and live food, ornament I'm sure some catfish will love hiding in it.
Purchased for myself were bright fish to add a splash of colour some giant khuli (2left 2 departed via the floor)
I'm hunting for a special couple of catfish to add to my groups or form a pair.

My juvenile Farlowellas gave me another batch of grandkids for Christmas! They spawned 3 times in a month and now I have enough little twigs for a bonfire ;)

Re: Which Christmas gift cats did you get, (or anything thing else related)?
I'm Treating myself to a group of 7 , 3 and a few more (What can I say, I like my pet rocks!). I'll also be getting an Addition of Oliver's Book Below Water as it seems to be an invaluable resource for photographs of underwater habitats.
I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

Re: Which Christmas gift cats did you get, (or anything thing else related)?
Whats the ISBN number of this book, or any others you know of, as I'm doing some more research into the natural underwater habitat of Panoquolus sp. Particularly for the L397s, I wanted to provide something a bit more natural for them as opposed to just some chunks of bogwood.
Thanks Teresa

I'm liking those loaches too. But way too big for most tanks!

Re: Which Christmas gift cats did you get, (or anything thing else related)?
I got a spawn from my original zebra group. Its now running one or maybe two spawns a year when lucky (and sometimes none). But they are pretty old as most were acquired in Apr. 2006. I believe the gals stop spawning well before the males. I also managed to buy a group of F1 L173, and ordered a group of what is purported to be a line bred color morph of l236 due to arrive this month. I believe that the 173 and 236 were bred in Germany, but I cannot confir that. As we all know 173 and 236 may or may not be what we all hope. But I had seen pics of these two fish and, whatever they actually are, I had to have them.
During the month I also got spawns from my L173b group and several from the l450 group. I think I am now sitting with as many plecos I ever had in my tanks at one time with something in the range of 295 Hypans. Over 1/3 of these are zebras.
The only downside to all this is nobody gave me any of this, I had to buy or spawn them myself' But, I am too old to believe in Santa any more
