L168 ¿yes or no?

Post by Oskartxo »

Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first intervention, a greeting to all.
No English so I use google translator to write, sorry faults interpretation.
I just bought a L168 and really do not have much color Could be another L-Number? or is it because of stress?
Thank you

This is normal, keep them over lighter substrate and they can lighten up.

My L397s were on a light substrate and looked really good for some silly reason I thought they would look good on a darker one regret it they are moving to a tank with a light one again.

Thank you very much, I will keep you with more light and clear substrate.
Another problem is that in the aquarium where there are low light. to see if I can put them in another.

You could increase the light for instance by adding another tube but that is likely though to make then hide more i try to allow some light to get to areas where they hide either by using floating plants but it is best for them to have hiding places the security of them makes it more likely that you will see them though not a guarantee.

Don't increase the lightning! They only need a brighter substrat ==> whitish sand or gravel.
Give them some time to settle in and try to get soft, acidic water.

I think the most important thing will be to give them time.

After a few days, some begin to brown and others remain stressed.
Can it be that they are all males and that the weaker are stressed?

The difference in colouration in those two L168 is just incredible. You could think they are not of the same kind. But those guys change colour like a chameleon.

Give them more time. maybe add some more hiding places. They seem to like shallow caves between rocks (e.g. slate).

They really are good at camouflage. That one on the left looks like a Cory. Very well disguised! =))
