Over the last few weeks I have been moving Cory Julii eggs from the main tank to the small tank.
Out of a total of 50+ eggs I have had 5 reach a size I would deem a success. One has been moved to the large tank and is doing well, the other 4 are still too small so are still in the small tank (well other 3 as one is dying

What I have noticed with a lot of the newly hatched is, their tails are often short and they swim round in circles .
The last 2 batches of eggs I have noticed that when they start hatching they just sit there on the glass with their tail sticking out of the egg. With the occasional wriggle to try and get free.
The latest egg to start hatching has been sitting there for 6 hours now, still trying to get out of the egg.
How long does it usually take for them to get out?
Is it the hatching process that is damaging/breaking the tail?
Any way to stop it happening to so many?
Thanks in advance
