The last photo doesn't look like either to me & appears to be a hybrid - body blotches not typical for lucipinnis, body slightly deep, leading edge of dorsal not white/pale

This fish looks like it is juruense rather than tigrinum

Richard I was thinking the same but stopped myself because of its small size...but there is something not right about it.

Re: Syndontis Petricola
Telling luci from petri is hard when small and if there exist experts who can do it on the fly like this, they are Birger and Richard B. Statistically, my impression is that there is only one petri in the trade for 99 or 999 lici's. Correct me please if I am wrong.

Re: Zebra Shovelnose
Yeah, it is a Brachyplatystoma juruense. A fine-looking specimen too.
Richard, I think ToxicWolf knows the difference as he was offering a true tigrinus a week or two ago for $600 here. Here it is http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 24&t=42333
Zebra shovelnose is rarely used but can be understandable. False zebra would even more understandable.

But it does help I'm still learning about Syndontis still so having experts be able to saying what it is and isn't really helps a lot but I'm only going by what they come in as and don't ask questions cause I'm still learning

Hi,
Looks like you're a commercial seller. Please could you follow the rules and post in one thread as opposed to several topics per item for sale. I'll help you out and merge your existing topics. Let me know if you'd like the subject changed and you can't figure out how to do that,
Cheers,
Jools

This edit won't change the titles of any of the other posts in this thread, but it will change what people see on the front page of this website, and it will change the overall title of this thread.
Also, any new posts to this thread will have "RE: (your new title)" as their default title.
