Blue Phantom L128 Temperature Discrepencies?

Seriouslyfish has it listed at 72-77'F
PlecoPlanet is 79-84'F

has them breeding at 82-84'F.
But in many posts people point out that the blues come from the colder part of the river upstream. There are also posts saying that the blue's color will improve in the low 70's F.

What is the ideal temperature for L128 Blue Phantoms? I'm not planning to breed him, would just like some clarification.

I think the assumption that where they come from is cooler because it's "upstream" is erroneous.

PlanetCatfish has the largest range. I'm guessing that the warmer end would be ok, but be sure you have good oxygenation.

I run my tank at 28 degrees and have owned blue and green phantoms for about 5 years now, I also look after a few of the other lesser known l numbers at the aquatics I work in! I find that phantoms prefer warmer temps so keep it at 28-29 generally, they love courgette! but be sure to mix it up with the occasional mussel as they are slightly omnivorous! just a few tips I thought id throw in there
