This pleco was sold as a blue eyed orange BN...but he's greenish grey with tiny dots!
This guy (or girl) was labeled as a blue eyed orange BN and as soon as I saw it I knew the sign was BS. It's appx 4 inches long, greenish grey in color with teeny white speckles all over it. Sorry for some of the fish photo bombs. Any help ID'ing would be much appreciated since I want to make sure I am feeding it correctly. It's new home is a 90 gallon Mbuna tank with plenty of hiding places. Also if someone could help me out with an appx ballpark value I would be grateful. Just wanted to make sure I paid a good price

Oh and the mottled coloring is not the lighting...that's his actual coloring.

The mottled colour is because the fish is stressed / trying to adapt to a white substrate, it would go inky black when settled / on a darker substrate. This looks closer to to me but care of either is very similar.

Thank you for the substrate info. I have a 55 gal with black substrate that I will move him to.

Agreed with Jools above. Looks quite a bit like my angelicus back home.
