Hi,
I don't see any reason why this should not be Hypostomus myersi, the origin is right, the general appearance fits as well.
Cheers,

Ok then.
But where is it cought? I believe Iguacu is huge?
But I have read a topic from someone else who has a hypostomus from Iguacu and it came from iguacu in Argentinia.
Are the myersi allways cought in that same lake?
I need to know because i have a subtropic tank where i want to keep a hypostomus.
Temperature during winter is 15° and sometimes less....

Hi,
I don't know where they actually catch them now but holotype came from Iguaçu river at Porto União; this is in Paranà state, Brazil.
Cheers,
