L177 or L081 ?
L177 or L081 ?
Can anyone clear this up for me from what i understand larger the spots are 177 but im not sure what he is the yellow at the end of the fins seems to be thin. Hes about 2 inches now. I had a thread started when i forst fot him but thought maybe it would be better to let him settle in so i started a new thread. Sorry mods but i couldnt find the older thread (using tapatalk)

These fish have been identified as the same species . The numbers may still apply to location "variants" but DNA says they are all the same fish.

I believe L81 wasn't included in the description for B. xanthellus.

Fish in question looks like B. xanthellus to me, not B. Sp. L81, and I would suspect it is the L18/85 form given the small gold seams on the dorsal and tail.

I think I said this at the time, but I think this was an error, rather than a deliberate omission.I believe L81 wasn't included in the description for B. xanthellus.
