New Leopard Cactus Pleco

Have him in qt just picked him/her up today. Is it possible to sex ? Its roughly 6.5 inches. Any tips or advice would be welcome. I recently had one pass away after 2 months of looking fine.
Plan on feeding nls, massivore, frozen krill, and algae wafers
