Greetings,

I am trying to get some information on C.gracilis.

1. General commercial availability.

2. Difficulty level of breeding.

3. Prices you have seen them retailed for.

1. Very rare although they maybe currently available.
2. Isn't known?
3. Â£40 each.

The availability of C. grasilis is extremely rare in the hobby because as I am led to believe, they can only be found at night as they spend the daylight hours in forested areas amongst the leaf litter.

I do not know of any breeding reports.

And with regards to price, do you have a good mortgage broker. I have seen them at Â£40.00 each but the two that survived the shipping were both males.

Hi Jools. Thanks for responding. So let me get this straight. If my conversion is correct you're talking about a Cory species that would sell for $70? Is that about the most expensive Cory you can name or are there others that sell for more? Thanks. - Frank

No I do not have C. gracilis with only 2 males at Â£40 ($70) each there was no point. If there had been both sexes I would have bought 6.

The most I have paid for Cory's is Â£50 each ($87) and that was taking 6. These were a species known only as C. sp 'Gauarana' (C65)

Could not find reference in the Cat-eLog on C. sp 'Gauarana' (C65). Google turned up nothing. Any info available??? - Frank

http://www.belowwater.com has the fish for $25/piece or 10 for $200. I am unsure of the shipping rules and regs. as the company is based in/or around Montreal, Quebec Canada. Check out the site and you can ask for a pricelist from Oliver (the owner).

Hi Rick,

Have already been in touch with them but thanks anyway for the heads-up.. Getting them into the country is a pain in the butt and will wind up costing a bundle, but I'm working on it.
