L46 male eating eggs?

Post by KrisA »

I'm 99% sure my zebras have spawned because one of my females has quite a sunken belly, and i saw a white thing flowding around in my aquarium.

I Think is the first time my male have spawned.
But my question is: is it normaly the male will eat the eggs the first time?
The eggs were probably unfertilized, because the one i saw was white as a piece of paper.

Yes, the first spawn is usually a failure and the male usually will get it right the second time - unless he's a serial egg eater.

Are the eggs fertile? How long are they lasting? Does he eat them or does he kick them out and they do? How warm are you keeping them?

First spawn i saw one egg outside the cave,it was pure white, but else only the females have a sunken, and were active around the cave, so i think he eats them instandly.
I keep then in 30 degrees water.
