Video of P. leopardus Spawn

This video was recorded over the summer. This is my 'premier' pair of P. leopardus L600 variant. It has been over 2 years since these last spawned. Unfortunately the male pulled the female out of the cave before she was done laying eggs and they were still attached to her. I was not able to artificiality raise them. It is easy to see when the male fertilizes the eggs the first time.

That sucks you couldnt keep the eggs. Thats a ton of eggs. Can you post pics of the full tank? Also how are your l273's?

Have you ever tried to put eggs back in the cave? I have done this a few times when I spotted eggs outside the caves after spawning.
I have even had two occasions when the male fertilized them after I put them back in. It worth a try if he keeps doing this.

Im not really a plecos person but what if you added a small lip to the bottom of the tube? Might catch the eggs and hold them in for next time?

Such a shame to lose such a valuable spawn. Why not tilt the cave back? It seems declined towards the front.

Is the cave large enough for them to both maneuver inside? They seem very large; but I'm ignorant as I only have experience with breeding Hypancistrus sp.

Everyone has the right ideas. I did put the spawn back in the cave but I have never seen a Pseuda then take over. I grabbed the eggs when the snails started after them.
Pseudas are very particular about their caves. When they were smaller they had no problem spawning in the cave. Now that they are bigger they still have not picked a larger cave.
FYI, Pseudas do not like caves with lips.
It has taken years to get good video.
