Need help with Pleco ID

Post by KarthikC »

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased this pleco. It's about 2" and was sold to me as a bristle nose pleco. Can anyone please ID this for me with the L number? Would be really grateful.

What colour are the fin tips? They look a bit yellowish in the pic but that might just be the lighting.

Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.

Many thanks for your reply. The fin tips are white. Looking yellow since there are almond leaves added making the water little yellow-ish.

As Richard says, it's probably a 'normal' BN - there are varying degrees of spots and white patches on fin tips that also vary with age.

Hi KarthikC,
No need to seek pardon. Everybody is new for a while, and being new isn't the same as being ignorant. You're fine.
Cheers, Eric
