Lamontichthys Filamentosus -temp and water conditions?

Is anyone currently keeping this species?
Are they thriving?

I just got some fish in as

Lamontichthys filamentosus

, but I believe I have

Lamontichthys llanero

and possibly one other. I'm keeping them at room temperature in a floor tank around 75, PH 7.2 TDS around 180. I had to use Repashy "soilent green" with garlic extract poured over driftwood to get them eating after arrival, and spent the first several weeks battling ich. They've been here for around 60 days and seem happy and active.

I have a single specimen in a tank that has algae and I'm trying to obtain the soilent green food. In the meantime I'm experimenting with other foods.

My water is probably too warm for this fish longterm, at 27c, but maybe that's why I've managed to avoid whitespot so far. I will reduce it once it's feeding on supplied food and finished quarantine. Ph is 6.5 and TDS 140.

I wonder if anyone has kept these and grown them to adult size?

That's interesting reading.

It seems this family has not been explored much, in aquaria.

I'll see how it goes with a single specimen and if it goes well, I'll look to get some more. So far... it's pooing like there's no tomorrow!

Poo is good, means it's eating something. Mine had severe sunken stomachs upon arrival.
