Mystery dwarf catfish.

Post by Deb »

Hello!
Any idea what they are?
They are very tiny at 20mm and look a little like Corydoras habrosus from the side.

Looks like an aspidoras, which one is near impossible to determine without better pics. Even then Proper ID will be difficult. where did you get them?

If they were from the James River Aquarium Society auction they are either CW052 or Aspidoras spilotus.

Thanks. I got them from a local auction, JRAS, as verbal says. The fish were too pale last night to determine the species by eye alone. Today, after a night in the aquarium, they look more like the catelog photos of A. spilotus.

I would say A. spilotus. I'm under the understanding from discussions with Ian that despite PC has spilotus and C125 lumped together they are two different fish.
