Ancistrus fry feeding
Hi Everyone,
I had an unexpected spawning from my Ancistrus cirrhosus The male kicked six eggs out of the cave (I don't know how many there may be in cave with him). I put the six eggs in a breeder net in aquarium and they hatched eight days ago. I've been feeding them Interpet liquid fry food. The picture shows what they look like today - do they look old enough to try solid foods like zucchini or cucumber?

Yes definitely. I also feed a lot of Repashy gel foods to my fry and they seem to love it and grow faster.

Try the humble garden pea. Boil for 10-15 minutes leave to cool down, shell and split in 2 place in. Mine loved it growing up and as you can buy frozen its very cheap food source.

I agree with all of the above, and you may want to add some NLS Grow formula to their diet. I feed all my pleco fry this once they are old enough to eat. Good luck.

Thank you all for your suggestions They're big fans of the Soilent green and Spawn and Grow Repashy gels as well as peas and zucchini. They haven't warmed up to cucumber yet but maybe they will in time.
