L333 group

I have a colony of juvenile l333.
What would be good tank mates for them?
They are in a tall tank but have the bottom to them selves with lots of caves.
I was thinking about some rams but unsure how it would go if the rams decided to breed.
The l333's need to come first so would like the best tank mates for them.

I would say yes to the rams, or a nice pair of appisto's. As far as breeding the rams, if the plecos come first and they eat the eggs then it is what it is. The rams can't do any harm to the L333.

ya i just added my rams to my l333 tank. im hoping to breed both, we'll see what happens

So I added 2 rams to the tank. The shop only had males (he thinks males) so will pick up a couple of females next week maybe.
Don't know why but I also bought some harlequins. I was thinking they could be good dither fish? If not they can be moved to another tank.

They would be perfect dither fish to let the L333 know that everything is alright, I personally keep large schools of pristella tetras in most of my larger tanks and they enjoy being the only actual fish in the tanks other than the plecos that hide for the majority of their time in the tanks.

Thanks triactis. My l333 are already out and about with lights on. Result!
I will up the number of harlequins in a couple of weeks in think.

Awesome! I've noticed that with tanks that I use to have that were specifically designated to raising young bnp and growing them out, and they would hide all the time. As soon as I added some pygmy corys to the tank they started to come out more and i really started noticing the growth more as opposed to when I only saw a few every couple times a day.

Getting a little concerned about couple of my L333.
They are either just we'll fed or bloated. Have already offered peas.
What do you think?
