cw009 spawn

Post by javierhnb »

I've been with them a couple of years and had not managed to make a start (or if they had actually had eaten unless I see ) .

After the summer taking advantage of a disaster in a prawn pool , I pulled out of the Community tank and I put my 6 corys Cw009 in a 30 l aquarium cube . With aerator, heater and filter ... must be 2 females and 3 males and one I that do not know what sex is .

The fact is that nothing. Neither the rainy week of 15 days ago, and daily water changes , or alkaline or acidifying , or feed lot, anything give me any results.

These days it is very sunny for madrid, cold but no cloudy or rainy, no traces of storm , after 3-4 days without making changes because I was tired of this protocol, I saw slightly active ( grazing ) . I did a water change without add potassium bicarbonate (you know that water is very acid in Madrid and I always put a little bit for the slightly alkaline ph ) . So it was a change of 50% ( like he had done many times during these 3 months), with softer water than they had them and very cold ( had left out on the porch to cool it) to raise down from 24 to 18 º C. They were in this cold wather about 15 min and then put the heater arrived again at 24 ° C. And for dinner I gave them a piece of hake as a toddler - sized nail rest of my dinner , washed with water to remove the salt - ... And anything else .

Today frenzy persecutions and eggs stuck on the glass. When I have discoverd the spawn I had seen about 40 eggs stuck to the glass. I put them in a little tank inside the parents tank with aerator inside ... I have not taken out because I had a bad experiecia with eggs trilineatus despite methylene blue me spoiled fungal ...

So the account is easy. Day December 1 , the spawn . We'll see the results ....

Today I have seen the babies at first time. And even there are 10-15 eggs with great color that i hope they hatch today or tomorrow. I don't know how many are there, because of their vitality. 5-6, I don't know.

I'm amazing!! I am waiting for this moment long time ago!!
I will say you...

Excellent news! Congratulations!

I found CW009 eggs a few weeks ago, but never saw fry.

At the moment there are some alive. I don´t know how many because they are in a net box, and I put them a piece of moss. When I move the box some some speedy baby cross the box but I can´t count them. But I think there aren´t too many. Four or Five, I suppose. When they grow up, I´ll tell you.

Well. They are 1 month old. I have 6 baby corys alive. As you can see, they haven't got the colours of this specie yet... But they are very active. I am so happy.
Here I show you some photos.

They are now 2 month old. And now they have an incipient bright lateral line. I think it will be their "green lasser". I don't know if you can see it in the photographs. They aren't so good...
