L201 Confirmation and sex
Hello,
Been a while for me in here (last three pickups have been bristlenoses so no help needed there lol). Picked up these two today, was hoping that it might be possible to confirm L number and sex.
I have labeled them fish A and B. I believe A to be male (has some nice whiskers and hair on tips of the pecs) and B to be female (fingers crossed). They are approx 5.5cm, fish B seems to be slightly smaller but only by a small amount.
Thanks!

Re: L201 Confirmation and sex
Looks like you have a pair of L201 (A is male, B looks female) If you look at A, like you said he has larger whiskers and 'hairy' fins. From the aerial view B has a more rounded head which curves back to the fins, while A's head is more squared off & the side continues in a straight line up past the eyes.
Here is another thread on a similar fish ID'd as L201

Re: L201 Confirmation and sex
After looking at many comparisons I am sure they are 201, however I believe it is possible that fish B may in fact be a less mature male. Opinions?

It's possible, though if you could take a ventral shot (picture showing the stomach side) of the fish it would give us another parameter to look at.

Introducing fish C and D, the only two they have left. I think both are males, but can it be confirmed?
