What are you feeding your l number fry?
Hi everyone. Just a quick post to see what people feed their fry once the egg sacks are consumed to give them the best chance of survival. I feed my lil guys freshly hatched brine shrimp, a mix of dry food (wafers, flake) and also fresh greens (cucumber, zucchini). I also use Indian almond leaves which the fry seem most attracted to. Does anyone also prefer to move their fry to deticated fry grow out tanks vs leaving them in the adult parent tanks. My fry survival rate is around 70% and id like to increase it.

I use a mixture of sliced cucumber, Repashy gel food, and baby brine shrimp. I move my fry into a dedicated fry tank with a thin sand bottom and small pieces of driftwood.
I use a mattenfilter (basically a big foam wall) on one end of the tank and it drains into my central system.
I also keep Neocaridina sp. shrimp in the tank to help with uneaten food.

Re: What are you feeding your l number fry?
Ancistrus claro fry will eat all sorts of things, IMO. Algae wafers, being the primary one, but also flake food, NLS Grow pellets, and blanched brussel sprouts.
I feed primarily Repashy Superfood now. Formulations to be determined by which type of fry I'm feeding. I almost always give young fry some spawn and grow and some soilent green. Then they can pick and choose what they are needing.
I move fry into condos so I can concentrate food and clean water for them. I have to contain them somewhere or the central filtration system will have them loose everywhere. I do think the condos have many pros and cons, but I have control issues and I really like to manage them for growout.

Might it be a better idea to define which l-number fry? There is quite a lot of variance...
