baby silurus glanis.
a nice looking pic of a little baby cat.
after our second child was born my pond had to leave, leaving me just some photo's to remember.
in france i caught it by accident landing a big carp and brought this one to my koi pond.
when caught it was 11cm's only and here it was grown 5 times it's size.
like how it was

Most lovely. What do you mean the "pond had to leave"? Are you eliminating it and pumping down and catching and getting rid of all fish? It'd be a pity to let this jem go... but yeah, we all have to pick our battles.

That's real shame. It's a beautiful pond.

Its a beautifull pond in a beautifull garden, but it is as unsuitable as possible for children
So filling it up is wise. But painfull

Re: baby silurus glanis.
the so called fence i build was not good enough, ever since the oldest one loved to climb it there was no excuse anymore.
ones the youngsters (2 and 4) are able to swim i'll dug out the sand and start up a new pond. all is boring but playfull grass now.
it truly was magical the way my daughter fed the koi by hand lying in the grass.
via the www i sold all koi (toghether) to a guy with a much bigger pond leaving my wife crying, something i never expected.....
the catfish was fed goldfish and small fish i caught for him, worms and maggots were nearly taken out of my hands.
once a year it was bay-koi feast and his belly was about to explode.
it was wonderfull to see him swim around underneath the lillies. he is out in the wild now able to reach it's full size which is taller than myselfe.

It is a shame, but I did the same. Two young twins drowned in a garden pond here in Scotland just recently. Can't take the risk and I wouldnt enjoy a pond until they are all able to swim.
