My local fish shop just had these in but came in as unknown wilds proberly difficult to i.d without a catch location but anyone have any ideas. many thanks

Do you have any idea where they are from? Colombia by any chance? If so, would seem like a likely candidate. But as you say, they are hard to ID.

I take it these are the same as the ones in your other thread, A. macrophthalmus?
If so, why the "unknown" in the title?

Well, the pictures in your other thread made it clear that my assumption was incorrect; they are not the same species.

Thanks again MatsP he is getting back to me with the catch location.
Marc these are different he had quite a few different Ancistrus in but these were marked as Unknown
