This one is just over 6 inches, so might be to small to see the gender yet.

First one is a female, second is on this point en male.
I'm looking at the head and body shape, if the head is broader them the belly it's a male.
But this only my theory if the mustache and the odontodal growth on the pectorial fins are not visible yet.
good luck,
Walter

Frank, can I ask you wich river first fish came from? Cause I have had the same L025 with few spot and I never discovered if it really came from Xingu as the full spotted type.

I don't know from which river this fish is. I'm curious too which area it's from.

My thoughts are the same, the first one a female and the second one a male. I bought another one yesterday also around 8 inches. Will put some pictures of the new L25 on here too.1walter9 wrote:First one is a female, second is on this point en male.

No this one is not from Utaka. Saw that they have L25 now, also for a decent price.jac wrote:Nice to read you bought an other one. From Utaka?
