I purchased this at PetSmart in Hamilton, Ohio, USA when I realized it wasn't a common Otocinclus. The peppered pattern was a dead giveaway that this guy was special. It cost $2.29.

It was the only one in the tank. The others were common Otocinclus. Now I'm stumped trying to identify it. Parotocinclus jimi, perhaps?
It is VERY small... probably 2 to 3cm. It behaves differently than the common Otocinclus that I bought with it... it moves more slowly... less "spazzy". In some of the photographs you can see other plants, snails, and fish to give you a size reference. The fish are gold honey gouramis, Trichogaster chuna.
