I just bought a pair of aphanotorulus sp.(1)
Anyone know anything about them?

Venezuela species closely related to hypostomus there are at least three different species I have seen can you post a picture?, males develop hypertrophied odontodes on the body (in breeding season) leading edge of the pectoral-fin spine and the distal tip of the spine may become swollen.

Also check out LO93 in the cat-elog make sure you haven't got S. villarsi.
