the fair price is whatever someone is willing to pay. I know locally they can be purchased for $40-50 at 4", but the guy doesn't ship.

Re: WTB Baryancistrus demantoides
that is a true statement. I was looking more for what other people are paying. The lfs has about 8 of them in so I could go buy four or so of them from him or I am contemplating waiting for hopefully one of the other suppliers to bring them in if the price is high.nvcichlids wrote:the fair price is whatever someone is willing to pay. By the time you pay shipping, you are going to be nearly back up to that price. Ask your local supplier if he will do a package deal maybe? Keeping in mind that he too paid shipping ;).

Re: WTB Baryancistrus demantoides
Thanks Barbie for the input. There a several suppliers in my area that are pretty good. So I am not looking at shipping. Waiting to hear back from Pedro at aquascape to see if he can get them. I will probably go look at this group Saturday and one confirm they are baryancistrus and see what he can do price wise.

Re: WTB Baryancistrus demantoides
So looked at the group pretty sure they are not baryancistrus. So far none of the green phantoms have been and the few that are labeled baryancistrus I have posted and been told probably not. Anyone have an online supplier they have gotten them from or trust to bring in? Thanks this search is getting exhausting.

Re: WTB Baryancistrus demantoides
pretty sure all the green phantoms on aquabid and even the ones listed as baryancitrus demantoides are actually hemiancistrus subviridis. If you see one that makes you think otherwise please let me know. I have also contacted all of them and they either don't know which they have or have what they call short fin baryancistrus demantoides, which is my understanding is the hemi. please let me know if I am incorrect.

Yes, but I don't think the guy ships. You can check out all of his "for sales" on the gcca website.
