Closest I can come to in the cat-elog is Hypostomus bolivianus or more probably a local form of H. plecostomoides. Take a look in the cat-elog there are many species of Hypostomus. And depending on size, you could have a juvenile form of some other Hypostomus which looks nothing like your fish as an adult.

No, only undescribed species get an L number. This one's had a scientific name for 112 years.

Also, I wouldn't just assume it is , despite it looking superficially similar to the ones in the photos in the cat-elog. In general, the brown are very hard to ID. You need a location where the fish was caught to be more sure. Bolivia isn't an ornamental fish trading country, although specialist dealers may have contacts. Stuff may turn up from there from time to time, but it's safer to assume the fish came from Colombia, Peru or Brazil.

looks more likely. A shot of the teeth may perhaps rule that one out.

it´s not H. bolivianus, but without a location you´ll might never get the real name.
