Hard to make a definitive answer based on that single photo. Let's see what the experts have to say.

The dorsal looks reddish orange so I wouldn't think L65. My guess is 114/600 odd coloring.

Did the photo or the fish from the Thailand? If so I know what it is based on the photo. It is a locally created fish. I will post a picture later since I am using an iPad and I still do not know how to embed photos.

It reminds of the L282xL600 that surfaced a couple of years ago.

I agree with Matt. It looks like a L282 x L600. Here is the photo that was forwarded to me some time ago.

The limited bits of information I have go back to around 2009. I have seen posts from Japan and Singapore but not sure who was first.

As to why they were crossed, one person wrote that those were the only 2 pseudacanthicus he had. Only a few people had spawned pseudas back then so any spawn was cause for news.

I am a purest when it comes to this group but I must admit the result is interesting. Fortunately they are not easy to breed so hybrids will not take over the market.

I have heard the laws to import are very strict for you. Sorry you got only half of what your were promised.

Hi.

While working on a new project last year. I came across to some L282 specimens with red pigmentation like the one in the picture.
Although I don't know if it is a camera effect\Flash as such. It really caught my eye, it came in the group but later the reddish disappear and it went back to normal.
It could also be a dietary contrast in the wild. I thought it will be very interesting to share this information as I am sure we'll see more and more of this cross currently happening in SG and Taiwan.

A shipment of the cross L282\L600 have already landed the USA. If I'm not mistaken it was last year from Taiwan.
