Been given this and not too sure on what it is. Also what food is best for it ?

I agree with Ghost. Thumbing through Burgess' Catfish Atlas and it does look like macropterus on pg 490.

It dose look similar but I still think that fish is . list a max size of 5.9". In my opinion the fish in question looks much larger than 6". So for me it still looks like .Silurus wrote:That's .

Thank's guy's all i need now is to find a suitable diet for it as does'nt seem to like the pellets etc i have been trying

The obvious thing is the barbels are far too long to be Bagrichthys macropterus, which is a seldom if ever imported species.
Clearly a mystus species - i agree with Silurus
As far as diet, it really shouldn't be fussy, but is a small predatory fish so frozen livefoods, small earthworms, river shrimps are a great food to supplement basic foodsticks, pellets etc
