Questions on L128 or L075?

I am either going to get some L128 ‘blue phantom plecos’ or L075 ‘decorus pleco. Which would be:
a. Easier to breed?
b. easiest to sex?
c. The most social?

They're both pretty well matched for b & c.

L128 are esier to breed but neither is easy at all. I don't recall any account of L075 being bred and only a very few accounts of L128.

If breeding is a main objective i'd look at something else. L333, L066, Peckoltia Compta (L134) as suggestions or if you have little breeding experience with plecos, an ancistrus species such as species 4 would be a good start.

The P. sabaji also gets quite a bit bigger. I have one that is close to 8" now while the biggest L128 I ever had was only 6" although I have seen 7" ones. The P. sabaji is definitely less shy and I see it much more often than my L128's.

I think it's irresponsible to just purchase fish without first researching what you want and what they need to thrive. Spontaneous and ignorant purchases only harms the fish, wastes time and money. I use fish keeping as a constant learning experience.
